STRUCK BY CAR.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. .Tune 1. Matthew Gough.- aged eight, son of Mr and Airs Matthew Gough. 105 Nelson Street, Petone, was killed when he was knocked down on the Hutt Road at the corner of Petone Avenue at 3.25 p.m. yesterday by a' motor car. The accident happened near the northern exit of Petone West School, at which the hoy was a pupil. Running out on to the road he was struck by the car. He suffered severe internal injuries and djed *lmost immediately. His father is secretary of the Hutt v alley Harriers’ Club. An inquest is to be held.
