MR STANLEY BALDWIN
TRIBUTES IN THE HOUSE. (British Official Wireless.) Received June 1, 11.55 a.in. , RUGBY, May 31. Mr Neville Chamberlain was received with loud cheers on his first appearance in the House of Commons as Prime Minister. Immediately after questions tlio Lender of the Opposition paid a tribute to Mr Stanley Baldwin in which Sir Archibald Sinclair joined. Mr Chamberlain replied. Mr C. It. Attlee (Leader of the Opposition) said that some future historian would doubtless disagree about, I the merits and demerits of Mr Baldwin’s policy and actions, but he was certain that they would be one in acclaiming him as a great Parliamentarian who possessed to a singular degree 'the faculty of judging the temper of the House and responding to its moods.
