THEFT OF CATTLE.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 29. Sentence of six months’ imprison-, ment was passed' by Mr Justice on Harold Malcolm, aged 42, a sharemilker of Tokoroa, near Putaruru, for the theft of twelve J eirev cows. It was stated that Malcolm was employed on one of the three farms owned by Air M. L. Pearson. He drove the cows off the property to a sale and used the proceeds to pa.y his debts. The Judge 6aid that while in a position of trust he had committed a deliberate theft.
