(From Our Own Corerspondcnt.) BULLS, April 11. Members of the Rangitikei Defence Rifle Club fired over 300, 500 and 600yds ranges on Saturday in fine weather the. best scores being as follow: —W. J. Jenkins, 49 50 46 —145; A. Stevenson, 47—46-48-^-141. On the Bulls Domain, at Kugbv football, Bulls juniors turned the tables on Fioek House, winning a well-contested game by 14 to 3. Tries were gained for Bulls by H. Newton (converted by D. Stantiall), L. Cray and O Bromley wild. McAlpinc scored a good try for the losers Mr J. B. Signal held the whistle. The Rangitikei Uolf Club’s season opened on Saturday, and a large crowd of members and visitors attended the official opening of the new links at Parewanui. In the absence of the president (Mr K. W. Dalrvmple), Mr A. W. Ainon addressed the assemblage, congratulating members on the forward step taken. Many new players have signified their intention of becoming members, and the prospects for the new season are bright. The committee has arranged a competition for members to nominate appropriate names for the nine holes, and Mr K. W. Dalrvrnple has given a trophy for the member whose cnlries most closely correspond with the names selected by the comnutteo. /
