LURICH BEATS ELLIOTT. SYDNEY, April 11. Wrestling at the Leichhardt Stadium, Tom Lurich. beat King Elliott by two falls to one. Elliott secured the first' fall in the fourth round with a flying tackle, and he thrice had the champion in great difficulty with a short arm-bar. Lurich took his first fall in the sixth round with a figure four scissors and body press, and ho clinched the match in the seventh with a backslant.

SEASON OPENS ON SATURDAY. The tour of the Australian champion amateur wrestlers includes a visit to Palmcrston North next Saturday, when they will meet the best of the provincial amateurs from Hawke's Bay, Wanganui, Wai-, rarapa, and the Manawatu at the Opera House.
