FATAL COLLISION.
YOUNG MAN’S DEATH. Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, March 30. As the result of a collision with a motor-car at an intersection in the borough yesterday afternoon, Timothy James Pitt, aged 19, a clerk in the National Bank, while riding his motorcycle received fatal injuries. He was admitted to hospital with a fracture at the base of the skull and did not revoeer consciousness, dying at one o’clock this morning. The car was driven by Bernard Gallagher, aged 24, a canvasser, who sustained a severe eye injury. Pitt’s parents reside at Nelson. Six years ago they lost another son, also aged 19, in a shooting tragedy in the Marlborough district.
