VISITORS ENTERTAINED.
SPILLANE CUP TOURNEY. The members of the teams visiting Palmerston North for the Spillane Cup Rugby tournament were, yesterday afternoon, taken for a motor drive embracing Bunnytliorpe, Feilding and Awapuni. Alotor buses and private cars were used for transport, and at tho Awapuni racecourse a brief “holiday” sports meeting was held. Ten teams of ten men a-side took part in tho tug-of-war, St. Patrick’s, Palmerston North, proving the winners. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies, and the programme had i>eeu brought to a conclusion before the rain feiL
