HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated February 20, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — Tallow.—Market very quiet; quotations unchanged. Hemp.—Manila: Market quiet early this week; firmer at the close “K” grade for March-May shipments sold at £3l 10s. Sisal: Market firmer. MarchMay shipments sold at £2B ss; JulySeptember shipments £2B 12s 6d. New Zealand: “Rejected” offered at £23; “common” £24 5s without finding buyApples.—A steady trade at lower prices : Oregon Newtowns, 9s 9d to 12s 6d; Delicious, 10s to 11s 9d; Californian Newtowns, 10s 6d to 11s; British Columbian Newtowns, 9§ to 11s 6d ; Jonathans, 8s to 11s 6d. Pears.—Demand quieter; prices easier. Californian Winter Nelis, 14s to 15s.
