Owners of cycles in the city will be interested in a new form of cycle stand which has been placed in position outside the City Council offices. Originally the stand there was one of the same design as those elsewhere in the business area, being a heavy wooden structure. It was replaced with one having iron rods between which the cycle wheels were placed, but it was seen that the rods allowed the ma T chines to lean at an acute angle. Today a new stand was fitted which is very akin to the wooden stands elsewliei'e in appearance but in which the edges of the slots to take the cycle wheels have a lining of strip-iron.
