RANGITIKEI.
MARTON, Feb. 20. Congratulations were extended at a meeting of the ltangitikei Cricket Association to Mr T. C. Lowry on his appointment to manager of the New Zealand cricket team to tour England.
A sedan car capsized on the Rata flat on Friday afternoon as the result of a skid in loose metal. No serious injuries were received by the five occupants, but the car was badly damaged. Mr C. A. Tidy, of Marton, has been elected a committee member of the Wanganui Aero Club. Two new members were admitted and one proposed at the quarterly meeting of the Loyal Marton Lodge, 1.0.0. F. It was announced that the lodge had won the Dilks Collar for showing the greatest percentage increase in membership for the past year in this district. i
