DEVALUATION RUMOURS. OFFICIAL EEJOINDEE. WILL NOT BE PUSHED. (United Press Association —By. Electric Telegraph —Copyright.) Received January 29, 10.5 a.m. PAEIS, Jan. 28. Following insistent rumours that further devaluation was contemplated with a new flight from the franc involving heavy lorward discounts, the French bank rate has been raised from 2 to 4 per cent. The Minister of Finance (M. Auriol), in a stateement, said the Government would not be pushed into devaluation by speculators.
