What was believed to be the first prosecution under the 1 üblic Order Act was beard a , Leeds, when William Henry Wood, aged 25, was fined 40s for wearing a Fascist uniform on January 2, the day after the Act came into force. Defendant said the uniform was the livery of a selling agent for ( a publishing company.
