LONDON TALLOW MARKET.
The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office, under dale January 27: —There were no public sales of tallow hold this week. The market is quiet with prices nominally unchanged. I ' The total export of apples and pears 1 from Canterbury province this year, will 1 not reach that of last year, in the opinion of Mr B. G. Goodwin, orchard instructor for the Department of Agriculture in Christchurch. This year's export will probably be about 20,000 cases, in Mr GoodI win’s opinion, or nearly 8000 fewer than [last year. . |
