Jf the bottom of a bread-box is stewn with a thick layer of salt, and this covered with a sheet of white paper, the bread will keep fresher and the box sweeter. A South African woman became seriously ill when listening to a broadcast from a liner. The doctor said she was suffering from sea-sickness caused by the sound of the swish of the waves and the thud of the engines.
