MARRIAGE OPPOSED.
PARLIAMENTARY LABOUR PARTY. Received December 9, 9.50 a.in. LONDON, Dee. 8. At the Parliamentary Labour Party’s meeting Sir Stafford Cripps was a notable absentee. It is gathered that Labour supports the liovernment’s attitude, but it is emphasised that Mr Atlee , expressed no opinion on behalf of his party, and bis views were not invited. The meeting overwhelmingly opposed the marriage, but no communique was issued because it was recognised that it was a matter between tlie King and the Ministry.
