SHAHK MAIiKETS QUIET. LONDON, Dec. 7. There was little business on the stock markets, and transactions in some speculative suctions were reduced by 50 per cent. Even investment sections have seriously contracted, and are not expected to improve until the crisis lias ended. Cotton manufacturers, despite the fact that £IXOO,OOO worth of Coronation orders are at stake, are calmly awaiting the outcome. At present there is no large cuncellataion of orders. AVork is suspended on flags and bunting containing the King’s portrait.
