OPTIMISM AT HOME. “VOCE GIVES THEM SHOCKS.” Received December 8, 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 7. The evening papers’ posters are all expectancy for a win in the first Test. Headlines'talk of “Bradman and Company on the Run.” Another reads: “Voce Gives Them Shocks.” Mr Carson, in the Evening News, says:—We should he able to consolidate our position to-morrow from a reasonably safe into a winning one.
