FOXTON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Dec. 9. On Saturday afternoon the Bowling Club staged a gala afternoon, when progressive pairs were played until rain intervened Trueman won the skips’ section and Ed wards the leads’. At the monthly meeting of the Foxlon District High School Committee correspondence was received from the Parents’ Association advising that £4O was in hand for the installation of a radio. Mr Hornblow stated that the board would grant a subsidy of £3 and tho purchase of the set would be made through the depart menfc. The board intimated that the extra grant to the committee this year was £Bl, and in view of the increased roll number, it had raised the school to Grade Vc from February next, the effect being that the school is entitled to an additional assistant.
