(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Dec. 8.
A lino gang from the Horowhonua Power Board is engaged in renewing service lines and carrying out maintenance work in Foxton.
Tho Foxton Surf and Life-Saving Club is in the habit of leaving a reel and line on the beach for uso in an emergency, and when a member of tho club inspected, it last Friday he found that someone had cut off between 70 and 80 yards of the lino and left tho belt not properly attached to the remainder of the line. The police are investigating. Mr K. F. Crosbio slationmaslcr , resumed duty to-day after being absent on annual leave.
Mcsdamcs Bagrie and Nicholson (Levin) beat Mcsdamcs R. Owen and M. E. Perreau (holders of tho Ilornblow Badges) by 26-24.
