CAR DRIVER’S OFFENCE.
PENALTY IMPOSED. Per Press Association. ELTHAM, Dec. 7. Argyle Drummond, married, a Wanganui business man with a family of five, was fined £lO and had his driver’s license cancelled for twelve months and a prohibition order for 12 months issued against him in the Police Court this morning by a Justice of the Peace, who said be would have made the fine greater but for the fact that accused’s financial position did not warrant it. The police stated that ease was a very bad one. and had accused not been arrested serious consequences would have resulted.
