Received December 5. 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 1. The price of gold is now £7 Is 9jd per fine ounce. The dollar rate of exchange (Lon-don-New York) is now 4.90-1 and the franc rate (London-Paris) is 105 3-16.
