MISHAP TO MAKURA.
REPAIRS AT SEA. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. The Union Company|s head office has received wireless advice from their mail steamer Makura, en route from San Franci6co to Papeete, that a breakage has occurred in the vessel’s machinery, involving the disablement of one engine. The vessel is continuing on her voyage on the other engine at reduced speed in the meantime. A later message received from the Makura states that repairs have nowbeen made, and she is expected to arrive at Papeete on time.
