(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Nov. 25. At a meeting of the committee of the Otaki A.A. and C. Club, it was decided to arrange for a sports meeting 10 he held on Anniversary Day, and to hold e\ cuing meetings. Messrs Monahan. Richards, and Tooby have donated prizes. It is the intent ion of a local resident to build a large up-to-date accommodation house at Otaki beach, to be ready by I lie next holiday season. It is intimated that the cost of the building will be abcul L2OOO.
While playing cricket, Mr A. Flutcy received a nasty hit on the bead by a batsman, the wound necessitating several stitches. Mr J. Love, after receiving treatment in the Palmerston North hospital, lias returned homo, greatly benefited. Mr C. Sawyer, of the Waikanae railway stall, lias been transferred to To Hero, and Mr Taucher appointed at Waikanae
