MARTON, Nov. 25. Rangitikei Cricket Association has accepted a proposal that the Wairarapa Cricket Association’s representative team play the Rangitikei team at Marton on December 4 and 5. Tha local team will he chosen from the following:—A. K. Dodder, J. 11. Marshall, P. Marshall, A. Spence, T. Whittle (Taihape), D. A Cameron, A. B. Marshall, H. it. Marshall (Porevva), W. Hayward, S. S. Powe.l (lluntervillo), 11. Low, M. Wysocki (Old Boys), 0. Williams, W. Liddell, D. B. Sladden, B. Tidy (Marton). T. C. Lowry (Tuihape) was not available. The trophies won by competitors in the Marton Miniature Rifle Club’s competl tions this season were presented on Monday night, as follow Championship Cup, W. Rankin; handicap aggregate (president’s trophy), D. Oldfield; Mr T. Barton’s trophy, L. Gordon; Mr C. Whitford’s trophy, K. Louric; Messrs Collinson’s trophy, K. Louric; Mr P. Frcdricli’s trophies, N. Bridges and D. Oldfields; president’s medal, N. Bridges 1, G. Sanders 2; Mr W. Archibald's trophy, N. Bridges; Mr A. Clark’s trophy, P. Friedrich; Mr R. Lewis’s trophy, B. Hutchins; Mr N. Dixon’s trophy, A. Warren; Mr 11. T. Warren’s trophy, J. Warren. Mr C. C. McDonald presided at an executive meeting of the Marton Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club. A letter was received from the West Coast Centre advising that the' sub-centre championships had been allotted to Marton, and were to bo held on February 12. That the first inter-club contest be held at Marton on Saturday evening was the suggestion of the Levin Athletic Club. It was decided to hold the meeting at Marton on December 19. Officials for the season are: Referee, Mr J. il. Dash wood; supervisor, Mr C. C. McDonald; judges, Messrs G. Thomson, W. Macphcrson, and F. Woom (running), F. Lovoll, L. Mcßelh, and M. Atkinson (cycling); starter, Mr C. Henderson ; assistant starter, Mr C. C. McDonald ; check starters, Messrs N. Cairncross, G. Griffin, J. Evans; track steward, Mr G. W. Aitken (chief), with power to add; call steward, lott in the hands of the secretary to appoint a suitable man; timekeeper, Mr D. Thomson, with power to appoint an assistant; lap stewards, Messrs A. M. Smart and G. Griffin; announcer, Mr S. U. Abel; record steward, Mr F. Wood.
