The 1936 wine produced at Neustadt in the Palatinate is to receive the name Pfaelzer ltekrut (Palatinate recruit) in order that its “dusty bottles will recall that in the year of its vintage, after seventeen years of shame, the first German recruits entered tlie Rhineland garrison freed by Adolf Hitler from the dictates of VerS till 1 6S Among other names suggested were Pfaelzer Olympia and Olympia-Gold.
