MISHAP IN TUNNEL.

WORKMEN CRUSHED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Nov. 27. Sixty feet underground, in a drainage tunnel at Blockhouse Bay, two workmen were severely crushed and a thud had a narrow escape m nil accident at ID o’clock this morning. The mjuied w J. POWER, married, of Mt Albert, bruised back, knees, and body. WILLIAM H. TRACES, married, of Kingsland, injuries to an ankle. The men were putting in a set of timber when papa rock came down and trapped them, pinning down Power and Traves. The latter got free and helped tne third man, Dick Brodie to move the rock and get Power out. Biodie was clear when the rock fell. Although Power was severely bruised, he was able to walk along the tunnel for nearly 500 ft to the exit, and alter a short 'while was taken Home in a taxi. Trayes was also taken home.
