EAIPIRE DEVELOPAIENT. (British Official AVireless.) RUGBY, Nov. 24. AA’hen the big Empire flying-boats, now under construction, take over the operation of the mail routes next year each boat will have a “flight clerk” in its crew. His duties will be similar to those of the purser on board ship. The magnitude of the carrying task \yhich will fall on Imperial Airways when all Empire mails go by air will represent 1650 tons of mails yearly. About 10 tons, representing nearly 2)000,000 letters, will be leaving England by air iveekly.
