Tobacco-growing in England is now limited to tho experiment which for 25 years has been successfully carried on at Church Cookham, in Hampshire, by Mr A. J. Brandon. The harvest for this year has been completed, and the leaves now in the curing sheds will yield about 42001 b of-tobacco. This lias been grown on seven acres of land, and the crop, in spite of a wet season, is described as very good in quality.
