FITZHERBERT WEST.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ITTZIIEKBERT WEST, Nov. 19. A very enjoyable euchre and dance was held by the Fitzherbert West Hall Committee. in the Tin'tea School on November 11, when, thero .was a record attendance, visitors being present from Feeding, Whakarongo; Opiki: Linton, and Palmerston 'North. The ladies’ prize went to Mrs T. Kilgarriff, Messrs L. Brill,' M. Greer, and It. Kilgby tying for the men’s prize. In the cut otf Mr L. Brill proved successful. Dancing interspersed with musical and other items was indulged in until an early, hour. Mr 11. D. Greer proved the winner of a box of chocolates, Mr 11. Harris being the winner of a parcel. Mr.'R. Brill officiated at the piano. Mr Nelson Grepr (Linton) and Miss Freda Grcalorox playing extras. Mr 11. Harris was M.C. A happy ovenmg was concluded by the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” The friends -of Mr and Mrs W. Brogdon and family will, regret "t(T hear That Mr Brogden is confiho.d .to his , bed, and will wish him a speedv rppovery. Mrs Jenkins is a Dunedin visitor to Fitz. herbert West, being Ql) a short visit to lic-r parents, Mr and Mrs W. Brogden. Mrs D. Scliwass, Manutghi, and Mrs B. Scliwass,* Norhianby, who wore the guests of Mr and Mrs T. Kilgarriff have returned to their homes.
