(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Nov. 19. In the Magistrate’s Court, before Mr •f. H. Salmon, S.M., B. L. Evert on (Mr M. B. Bcrgin) sought to recover £7 11s 7d frc.ni S. Pottwha (Mr \V. S. l’ark) for meat allegedly supplied. The 'Magistrate said the case 'was one for equity and good conscience and lie gave judgment for plaint iff for £5 with costs £2 6s. John Procter, hevse-trainer of Foxton (Mr Bcrgin) proceeded against Henry Brown, racehorse owner, cf Wellington (Mr A. M. Onglcy), claiming the sum of £32 16s, allegedly duo for the care, feeding and agistment of a thoroughbred Colossus filly. After hearing the parties the Magistrate said the first question he had to determine was whether or _ not there had been any agreement, and if so what, wero the terms. Tho Magistrate said plain! iff’is evidence was founded on the statements of his son. The son had not (•dually seen the defendants light, any fire. Under tho circumstances he thought it would ho 'dangerous to give judgment and so ho non-suited tire case so that ,iu the event of plaintiff being able to produce further evidence, it might be brought again.
