BALL AT MANGAMUTU.

There was a large crowd present for the Mangnmutu Hall Company’s annual ball, dancers travelling 50 miles and more to attend. A feature was the brilliant tap ballet executed by pupils of Miss Gwen Gibbs, who, dressed in quaint costumes, delighted the audience with their splendid performance. The modern waltzing competition attracted numerous entries. .Miss Gibbs, the adjudicator, pronounced Miss Esme Gallon and Mr J. Bennett the winners—a popular decision. Supper was served, after which extras were supplied by Mr S. Jones, Wellington. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr D. F. O’Brien.
