STAMPS IN DEMAND.
AUCKLAND’S EXPERTENCI:
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Oct. 6.
So great has been the run on Commerce stamps in Auckland that at the moment there are no supplies of 6d, 4d, and 2Jd issues. Collectors have been extraordinarily busy and on the opening day of sale, October 1, single orders of up to £3OO were placed for stamps, sonic collectors buying for overseas. Postal officials say they have placed no restrictions on the sales —first come first served. Yesterday a further supply of 2id and 6d stamps were available, the former selling out within half an hour and the remainder at mid-day.
