BOY FALLS FROM HEDGE.
Following a fall from a high macrocarpa hedge, a little boy, the youngest son of Mr and Mrs R. L. George, of Rongotea, was admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital. It was reported this morning that his condition was quite satisfactory. Accompanied by his brothers and a number of other boys, the child was attempting to reach tho top of a very high macrocarpa hedge when a branch broke suddenly and he was thrown heavily to the ground. Although an examination disclosed no broken bones it was deemed advisable to order his immediate removal to the Hospital. His eldest brother narrowly escaped a like accident when a branch gave way beneath him and be was left hanging some 20 feet above the ground. From this predicament liis mother was fortunately able to extricate him.
