FARMING NEWS.
RURAL RAKINGS. Some alarm is brinjr expressed in tlirOhingaiti district at tlic activities of dogs which have been worrying sheep. Further depredations were discovered the other morning when one farmer, who had spent a great part of the night endeavouring to destroy the dogs, numbered his losses at about 70 cheep and lambs. Warm weather experienced during the past week ha? brought crops at Pukckohe ahead very quickly. Supplies of cauliflowers are sufficient to meet the steady demand, but cabbages are not over-plentiful. Although the total tonnage of onions still left is' not very big, good lines are available at prices ranging from £9 to ,t 9 10s a ton.
