SEPTEMBER WEATHER.
RAINFALL ABOVE THE AVERAGE. The following information regarding the weather experienced during September is supplied by Air F. Alason, Sandon lload, from records kept by him:—Rain fell on 14 days for a total j measurement of 3.27 in. The average rainfall for September is 2.86 in and it will be seen that the rainfall last month was much _in excess of the average. For the month of September last year the total rainfall was 1.90 in, which was below tbe average. During the nine months of this year to September 30. 31 in of rain have been recorded, as against 34.72 in for tbe corresponding period of 1935. The past month was a wet and changeable one. the average temperature being below normal. No frosts were recorded.
