RETURN TO DUTIES,

Received September 17, 11.30 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 16. King Edward transacted, State business at Buckingham Palace to-day.
Among His Majesty’s visitors was Sir William Clark, British High Commissioner in tile Union of South Africa, who is returning to South Africa after leave.
The King also received Mr H. T. Seymour, on his appointment as British Minister at Telieran, and Mr E. F. Guy ; on his appointment as British Minister at Caracas (Venezuela). His Majesty is expected to stay three weeks in Scotland.
The Duke and Duchess of Kent will probably accompany the King to Balmoral, where the Duke and Duchess of York, with Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret Rose, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, will be to greet them.
