Fenix Urtubi, the airman who was killed in an encounter with three rebel ’planes to-day, was the pilot who looped the loop and tipped out a rebel officer on July 27.
A message from Madrid on July 27 stated: “A sergeant-pilot who was flying a rebel officer from Morocco to Spain looped, dropping his passenger out, after which he flew to Madrid and joined the Government.' 1
