ATHLETIC v. FEILDING OLD BOYS
SATURDAY’S PROGRAMME.
The matching of Feilding Old Boys, winners of the Manawatu ltugby chainpionship, and Athletic, Wellington winners, at the Showgrounds pn Saturday is causing tremendous interest among ltugbv enthusiasts, and theie should ho a large crowd present when the match commences at 3 p.m. Both teams play bright, open football, and right from the start spectators are assured of many thrills as the teams fight for supremacy. As a curtain-raiser at 1.30 p.m. the semi-final of the Goldfinch and Cousins Cup between Kia Toa and Palmerston North Old Boys will be played, and here again the public will witness some attractive football. On the back ground at 1.30 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. two interesting matches will be played, the former being the final of the junior “sudden death” between Palmerston North Old Boys and Feilding Old Boys, and the latter between the Wellington and Manawatu referees With the Palmerston North Garrison Band in attendance to provide a programme of popular music, a delightful afternoon is provided and there should be a great attendance, lhis is Rugby’s big day. One shilling will admit to the grounds and sixpence to the stands.
