LONG HEARING.
NEAV PLYMOUTH CASE. Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, July 23. The four days’ hearing of evidence on the charge against Samuel Edward Hawke, a farmer, of driving a motortruck negligently, causing death, concluded to-day. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, bail being allowed. The truck allegedly involved was rclaiiicd for the purposes of the trial.
