ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.

Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July IS. The question of the future control of the supply of electric power in the Dominion has not yet been investigated by the Government, but the Minister of Public Works (Hon. R. Semple) said to-dav that, after taking a hurried look at the position, he was satisfied that complete State control was the only solution. Mr Semple made it clear that lie was expressing or.lv his personal opinion. The question had never been before Cabinet, and he had not yet had time to look into the position thoroughly. During the next Parliamentary recess lie intended to make a thorough investigation into every aspect of the sale of electric power. Ho recognised that it was a very complicated problem and the position at present was terribly involved. It should be possible to do something better than what was done at present, and his personal view was that the real solution was nationalisation. (
