AMERICAN WEATHER.
HEAT WAVE ENDING. CHICAGO, July 14. Wash-outs in the North-West and reports that a cool wave is descending from Hudson Bay marked the imminent end to-day of two weeks of torrid heat which liavo caused 2000 deaths and crop damage amounting to 1,000,000.000 dollars. The effect was immediately felt in the grain pits, all cereals moving lower, led by maize.•'Wheat’s down turn was retarded, however, on reports from Winnipeg that the Canadian crop was in a desperate position. At Lanark (Alontana) a cloudburst washed out 900 feet of the. railwaytrack and at Climax and Kokomo (Colorado) four inches of snow blocked the roads.
