DISPUTE WITH CREW
UNUSUAL SOLUTION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 15. After being delayed for 24 hours by trouble over two members of the crew, the Government motor-ship Maui Pomaro departed this afternoon for Niue and Apia. No final settlement of the dispute was reached, but following Ministerial intervention a somewhat unusual arrangement was mado in order to get the ship away. The two seamen had been given notice of dismissal which they declined to accept. The chief officer intimated that he would not employ them any longei, hut there were indicatians that men would not be available, to fill their places. This morning the Minister of Labour (Hon. H. T. Armstrong) visited the ship and it was finally arranged that the two men should remain as members of the crew and the chief officer would be given shore leave for the duration of the present voyage. On this compromise tho Maui Pomaro went to sea
