GAME LICENSES.
INCREASED REVENUE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. July 14. The revenue from game bird licenses sold in. Auckland this year, in spite of the recently increased fee, established a record for all time, according to the president of the Acclimatisation Society (Mr F.'E. McKenzie), when it was reported at a meeting to-night that the revenue had exceeded last year's total by over £IOOO. It was claimed io be an extraordinary result and one far in excess of the expectations of niemters, who had doubted the wisdom of the Minister of Internal Affairs in increasing the license fees from £3 to £1 ss. Mr McKenzie said the increase had teen an experiment put into force by the Minister, who should be pleased with the result, and who was deserving of thanks for his action in giving the societv such encouragement.
