THE NAVY’S THANKS.
SERVICES IN MEDITERRANEAN
(British Official Wireless.) Received July 14, 12.10 p.m. RUGBY. July 13. The Board of the Admiralty have sent a message expressing high appreciation of the services rendered by the officers and men of His Majesty’s ships which have been stationed in the Mediterranean and Red Sea waters in their past ten months’ duty, “which has been arduous and involved much hardship.” The board have also sent a message of appreciation to the New Zealand and Australian Navy Boards of the services rendered by the officers and men of the New Zealand Division and tho Royal Australian Navy whilst detached' for duty in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. These ships, the board declare, brought a valuable access of strength to the naval forces in those waters.
