N. BALL RETIRES FROM RUGBY
N. Ball, who represented New Zealand with liugbv football teams both in Australia and in Great Britain, and who, this season, has been playing for Feilding Old Boys, has retired from the game. He recently suffered a knee injury, and, after a spell from the game, he played for Feilding High School Old Boys in the seven-a-side at Bulls. He found that the knee would not stand up to play; therefore he decided to retire. He had been playing for Feilding Old Boys as he is an old boy of the Feilding Agricultural High School, and will continue to assist in the coaching of the team, which is leading on the championship table.
Mr Biill is an officer of the Department of Agriculture, and is employed as mc-at inspector at the Aorangi freezing works.
