TRADES UNIONISM.
WORLD-WIDE AIMS
Received July 13. 11.35 a.m. LONDON, July 12
In order to establish a united worldwide Trades Union movement, the International Federated Trades Union will negotiate with the national centres of America, Australia, and New Zealand, the Far East, Soviet and other non-affiliated centres. Sir Walter Citrine asked the Trades Union Congress, which passed the above resolution, to avoid acts tending to compromise necessary discussions.
The congress confirmed its unrelenting opposition to war as an instrument of policy and declared that Fascism constituted a constant menace to peace.
