TO LIVE ABROAD.
DEPARTURES FROM DOMINION. The Government Statistician's figures show that more people a.ro leaving New Zealand permanently than are arriving to take up permanent residence. During the two months ending May last 330 immigrants arrived to make their homes here and in the same period 896 travellers described as permanent residents left these shores to live abroad. Of the new arrivals 152 were males of over 15 years and 118 were females of the same age group. Of those who departed, 360 were males and 439 females over lo years of age. ' Of tho 896 New Zealanders departing to make their homes overseas, 352 have gone to Australia-, 401 to the British Isles. 81 to_ other British countries, 19 to the’ Ignited States ana 33 to other foreign countries.
