THE DUST NUISANCE.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—As a resident of Marne Street and a victim in common with others of the abominable dust niusance due to the state of the aforesaid street, and the heavy traffic thereon, I was rather disgusted to find on reading your journal’s report of the last meeting of the City Fathers that Marne Street is not included in the list of streets to be tar-6ealed during the current year. Why, I ask. Did not the council promise the deputation that waited on it regarding the matter that the said street would be sealed this year? The Marne Street residents have been patient enough, goodness knows. Marne Street is an old settled one and in justico should have priority over comparatively new streets. Again. I ask why? Can the council explain this matter satisfactorily?—l, am etc DISGUSTED HOUSEWIFE.
