ISLANDS CRUISE.
Per Press Association. WELLING!Gin, July 11. The passengers on the Monowai, which is on an excursion cruise of the Islands, were thrilled on Thursday afternoon by the sight of a passing school oi whales, one ot which slie uniortunately jammed. It is believed it was Liortally wounded. The same evening Father Neptune conducted the ceremony ol welcome to the South Seas, thirty initiates being dumped in tlie warmed swimming pool. The Monowai is due at Nukualofa tins morning.
