Tlic wpather was cold and raw on Saturday when the Manawatu Rugby competitions were advanced a further stage. On tlie oval at the Show, grounds, Old Boys and Feilding A played a draw, (i-all. The game was not a good exhibition of the code,-the passing being very erratic, on the whole, while the forward play was not inspiring. Old Boys had more opportunities than their opponents, but failed to take advantage of them. At Rugby Park, Kia Ton beat St. Patrick’s by 10 points to 8 in a thrilling contest, and took possession of the Jubilee Cup which St. Patrick’s won from Old Boys the previous week. At Johnston Park, Feilding. Masse v College gave the competition leader's. Feilding Old 80-s. a great run and went under by only 0 points to 3. Feilding B had the bve. In the junior grade Old Bovs continued on their winning way, defeating Kia Ton by 2-1 points to nil. St. Patrick's bad no difficulty in running out winners against Bunnvthorpe by 1-i points to 3.
